Chinese New Year Reunions

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Time to head back to my hometown and dive into the chaos that is family reunion season. You know what that means… getting into some heated debates about politics and the economy with relatives. Fun times ahead, right? Jokes aside, there are a few things I genuinely look forward to in these gatherings (despite the debates).

Food is definitely one of them. Really delicious food. Whether it’s the crispy spring rolls, tender dumplings, or the endless plates of tangy tangerines, there’s always a mouth-watering spread. The endless snacks just seem to appear out of nowhere. Beyond that, it's a great time to reconnect with family. Work's been pretty busy, so taking some time to unwind with loved ones is always calming.

So here’s to family, food, and maybe… just a little bit of political banter! Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!

PS: One of my favorite CNY snacks, pineapple tarts!

I didn't manage to take a picture of the ones I made last year, so I stole this picture online. :P
